EXCHANGE
Kansas stations send signal report and county. Stations outside of Kansas send signal report and state, Canadian section, or “DX”.
QSO POINTS
Stations may be worked once on Phone, once on CW and once on Digital per band. Each complete non-duplicate Phone contact is worth 2 points. Each complete non-duplicate CW or Digital contact is worth 3 points.

MISCELLANEOUS
- CW contacts must be made in the CW portion of the band. No cross-mode contacts allowed.
- Mobile is a station that is self-contained and capable of legal motion (street, water, or air) while operating, motion optional.
- All Kansas Mobile stations may use an additional driver.
- Kansas stations that change counties are considered to be a new station and may be contacted again for point and multiplier credit.
- If a Kansas station is on a county line between two or more Kansas counties, a separate QSO must be logged for each county listed as worked.
- Kansas stations should call CQ Kansas QSO Party, CQ KSQP or CQ KQP.
- Stations calling Kansas should call CQ Kansas or CQ KS.
- Kansas mobile stations should identify /M or /county.
- A Youth entry is limited to one or more operators under the age of 18 as of the end of the contest date. Youth operators may be assisted by experienced operators and may use a club or control operator call sign at any legal power level if a licensed control operator is present. The control operator may transmit as necessary for training or legal purposes, but may not make actual contacts or log contacts on behalf of the youth operator(s).
- The use of spotting nets using DX clusters, packet nodes, telephone, or other means is permissible for all entry categories.
ENTRIES
Entries must be date-stamped or postmarked no later than midnight October 1. Only one entry per call sign is allowed. Entry submission implies that the contestant agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Kansas QSO Party coordinator(s).
Be sure to include your call sign, name, address, location, entry category and scoring calculation (scoring calculation not needed for Cabrillo files) in your entry using the standard Cabrillo header or additional text lines at the top of the file as necessary. Kansas mobile logs should be combined into one log file for submittal.
In addition to an official entry, all participants are encouraged to submit score and comments to the 3830 Reflector immediately after the event.
Entries with incomplete or improperly logged QSOs will be subject to penalties or disqualification. Duplicate contacts must be clearly identified in the log except for Cabrillo style format. Duplicate QSOs are not counted for points and will not result in penalties, but they may be used to prove the integrity of other logs. Please do not remove duplicates from your log.
If you have a problem submitting your log, please email a description of the problem to info@KsQSOParty.org.
Electronic logs should be named with your call sign (ex: N0LD.LOG). Submit your log by one of the following two methods. Deadline for log submissions is September 30.
Method 1 (preferred) – Attach your log file to an email with your call sign in the Subject line. Send the email to logs@ksqsoparty.org. Cabrillo format preferred.
Method 2 - Paper logs, or logs on electronic media may be submitted via postal mail to:
